Wiley Welcomes Jennifer Giblin as Partner in Environment & Product Regulation Group
Washington, DC – Wiley Rein LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer A. Giblin, a veteran environmental lawyer with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and risk management, has joined the firm as a partner in the Environment & Product Regulation Practice.
Giblin will advise Wiley’s clients on compliance with federal and state environmental laws, environmental risks in business transactions, the transportation of hazardous materials under U.S. and international regulations, regulation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and many other matters.
“Jennifer’s exceptional understanding of environmental requirements at all levels of government ranges from environmental remediation to hazardous waste management, due diligence and transactional approvals, and the safe transport of lithium batteries,” said Environment & Product Regulation Practice chair Tracy Heinzman. “Her expansive knowledge and versatility will bring great value to our clients, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her to our team.”
Giblin draws on more than 30 years of private practice experience at two Am Law 100 firms in Washington. She serves as outside environmental counsel to two major manufacturing companies, counseled a major e-retailer regarding all aspects of hazardous materials/dangerous goods transportation compliance, advised potentially responsible parties at dozens of Superfund sites, and provided environmental transactional support to a multinational company in multiple U.S. acquisitions.
“Jennifer has a well-earned reputation as an indispensable advocate for companies navigating some of the most complex environmental challenges of the 21st century,” said Managing Partner Peter D. Shields. “She is an impressive addition to Wiley and will further enhance the capabilities of our Environment & Product Regulation team to meet the needs of clients across numerous industries.”
Giblin earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and her B.A., cum laude, from Yale University.
