Wiley Welcomes Sara Beth Watson, Expanding the Environment & Product Regulation Group
Washington, DC – Wiley Rein LLP, a preeminent DC law firm, is pleased to announce that Sara Beth Watson has joined the firm as of counsel in the Environment & Product Regulation Group.
Watson’s cross-disciplinary practice includes advising companies across many industries on compliance with federal and state environmental laws involving pesticides, industrial chemicals, agricultural products, and consumer products. She also counsels clients on occupational health and safety compliance, food, drug, medical device regulation, and the labeling of dietary supplements, and defends enforcement actions.
“Sara Beth’s unparalleled understanding of environmental and product regulation requirements ranges from market approvals for industrial chemicals and pesticides to enforcement and compliance matters involving hazardous waste, contaminated property, and water and air issues,” said Environment & Product Regulation Practice chair Tracy Heinzman. “Her practice further builds on the strength and strategic growth of our team, along with the addition of Jennifer Giblin – who joined the firm as a partner in February.”
Watson draws on over 35 years of experience of private practice at an Am Law 200 firm in Washington, DC. She provides compliance counseling to companies and trade associations on numerous environmental laws and statutes, such as the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TCSA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and many more. Watson also assists companies with compliance involving U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulation of drugs, medical devices, direct and indirect food additives, labeling, and import/export regulations.

Watson earned her J.D., cum laude, at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, and her B.S. from Texas Christian University, magna cum laude.
