Wiley’s Kathleen Kirby to Receive BFOA Leadership Award

March 18, 2024

Washington, DC – Wiley Rein LLP, a preeminent DC law firm, is pleased to announce that Kathleen A. Kirby, co-chair of Wiley’s esteemed Telecom, Media & Technology Practice, has been selected by The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) to receive a 2024 Leadership Award.

Kirby, who has served as general counsel and secretary for the BFOA since 2021, is one of six award recipients this year. The BFOA’s Leadership Awards are presented annually in recognition of career contributions to the broadcast industry and the community.

“To be honored alongside leaders of the broadcasting industry I have admired for years is humbling, I am truly honored to have been chosen to receive a Leadership Award by The Broadcasters Foundation of America,” Kirby said. “I am grateful to the BFOA for recognizing my contributions to the industry, but I am more grateful for this special organization’s commitment to giving back. Broadcasters play such a vital role in keeping our local communities safe, informed, and entertained. BFOA is there when a broadcaster finds him or herself in need in times of disaster, injury, or illness, and I am so proud to support its mission.”

The award will be presented on April 17 at the BFOA Annual Breakfast in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Broadcasters Foundation of America seeks to improve the quality of life for men and women in the radio and television broadcast profession who require assistance as the result of misfortune.
