Wiley’s Matthew Beato Wins Business Insurance ‘Break Out’ Award

Beato, partner in the Insurance Practice, has been selected for a 2022 “Break Out” Award by Business Insurance magazine. The annual awards program honors 40 top professionals on track to be the next leaders in the risk management and property/casualty insurance field.

Beato is among only six individuals from law firms who were selected this year for a Break Out Award, which recognizes risk managers, brokers, insurers, reinsurers, wholesalers, lawyers, and other providers serving the commercial insurance sector.

A talented litigator, Beato has advised some of the largest international insurers on complex litigation in both federal and state courts nationwide, achieving victories for clients in numerous cases. he has extensive experience with directors and officers (D&O) and securities coverage matters, and coordinating joint defense efforts in complex D&O litigation. Beato also provides strategic advice to insurers in coverage matters involving policies issued to financial institutions, law firms, software companies, investment advisers, investment companies, and other public and private companies. In addition, he regularly serves as coverage and monitoring counsel for insurers in matters involving emerging exposures, including cyber risk, privacy and data breach, and technology claims.
