Brian R. Selvin, a partner in the firm’s Tax, Trusts & Estates Department, will participate in a free public seminar on Wills and Estate Planning, to be presented by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation as part of the American Bar Association’s seventh annual national celebration of Pro Bono Week, during which local attorneys give back to their communities.
The program, which will be held on October 29, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00pm at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, NJ, will include a discussion of topics including wills and trusts, gift and tax planning, New Jersey probate procedures, power of attorney, living wills, federal and NJ estate tax, NJ inheritance tax and the use of a revocable or living trust. This will be followed by an opportunity for attendees to meet with attorneys to discuss matters of individual concern in an informal question-and-answer session (not to constitute formal legal advice).
The seminar is open to the public without charge. Advance online registration at www.njsbf.org is required.
Mr. Selvin concentrates his practice in the areas of estate and tax planning, estate administration, probate and trust litigation, wills and trusts, business succession planning, and tax controversy before federal and state tax authorities as well as federal and state Tax Courts.
