In my practice, I meet people with complex assets and businesses, as well as intricate family dynamics. Experience has taught me that a good estate planning attorney must be part psychologist, part tactician, and part jigsaw puzzle solver in order to avoid a myriad of landmines that confront the modern family in both estate administration and probate litigation.
Mr. Selvin concentrates his practice in the areas of estate and tax planning, estate administration, probate and trust litigation, wills and trusts, business succession planning, and tax controversy before federal and state tax authorities as well as federal and state Tax Courts.
Mr. Selvin has represented clients in the formation of tax exempt organizations including public charities, private foundations, social clubs and trade organizations, assisting these entities in obtaining state and federal tax exempt status and advising on organization and operational issues. His experience also encompasses the formation of joint ventures between tax exempt and for profit entities.
