After almost two years of work by the Senate Task Force on Sexual Harassment, Governor Pritzker has signed into effect sweeping legislation for employers regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. The legislation was effective as of January 1, 2020 and it dramatically impacts employers and requires a variety of changes like mandatory anti-harassment training, reporting requirements for final verdicts and decisions, and substantial revisions to employment policies and employment and severance agreements.
