Employment and Litigation attorney, Laurie E. Meyer, has been invited to speak at the 35th Annual DBE Workshop and Secretary’s Golden Shovel Awards. She will present, Changes to Medical Leave in the COVID Age, a virtual program on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11:30 AM CST. The Annual DBE Workshop and Secretary’s Golden Shovel Awards is Wisconsin’s premier conference for small, minority, and women-owned businesses in the transportation construction industry.
The 35th Annual DBE Workshop and Secretary’s Golden Shovel Awards will take place February 24 – 25, 2021 via Whova, a virtual event platform. This virtual conference is hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the National Association of Minority Contractors of Wisconsin and is held in collaboration with Wisconsin DBE. Attendees include small, minority, women-owned businesses, prime/general contractors, architect-engineers, construction industry suppliers/vendors, small business advocates and other businesses within the transportation construction industry.
Keynote speakers include Mandela Barnes, Lieutenant Governor of the State of Wisconsin, Craig Thompson, Wisconsin DOT Secretary, and Lafayette Crump, Milwaukee Commissioner.
