Overview
Amundsen Davis helped facilitate the $2 million sale of a well-known national dance studio franchise. Our clients were franchisees and key executives within the dance studio's corporate operations. We worked closely with our clients, who were acting as both sellers and franchisors, to finalize the sale and complete the intended transaction.
When we became involved in the sale, the buyers had already been identified due to their existing relationship with the business owners and their involvement with the franchisor. We identified key issues in the negotiation process between the buyer and the seller to finalize a purchase agreement and obtain the franchisor's consent. We further assisted the client in ensuring their protection throughout the agreement, particularly regarding payment security, as the transaction was mainly seller-financed.
