Defended a Charter Bus Company and Driver in a Lawsuit After the Plaintiff Lost Control of Her Vehicle and Hit the Bus

Amundsen Davis defended a charter bus company and driver against a lawsuit from a plaintiff who lost control of her vehicle and hit the bus being operated by the defendant driver. The plaintiff alleged that the bus driver was negligent in the operation of the bus and hit the plaintiff. The plaintiff demanded high six figures in a pre-suit demand, and also made the same demand during the pendency of the case. Anne represented the defendants at a pre-trial settlement conference and argued that the plaintiff caused her own injuries and presented evidence that had been found through discovery. The matter settled in the low five figures, which was less than half of the plaintiff’s claimed medical bills.
