Overview
Amundsen Davis assisted with a data incident investigation of a matter where a company discovered that some of its mailings inadvertently disclosed customer social security numbers that could be viewed in the address window of the envelopes it mailed. This work involved full investigation of the mater to determine the number of individuals who may have been affected by the breach, the types of information involved, and a review of applicable state and federal laws to determine notification and reporting requirements.
