Overview
Amundsen Davis counsel obtained summary judgment for a premises owner in a matter involving a plaintiff who allegedly sustained significant head injuries after having been struck by automatic doors. We successfully demonstrated that the premises owner was entitled to judgment, because the plaintiff presented no evidence that the automatic doors were defective. In addition, we demonstrated that the automatic doors and the mechanism of their operation was open and obvious despite the plaintiff’s argument that the placement of merchandise obstructed the view of the doors.
