We are happy to announce that John Williams has recently joined our Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Service Group as a partner. John's experience spans over two decades, working for many years on high-profile privacy, cybersecurity, and technology issues and as a policymaker for the federal government before moving into a product and privacy counsel role at a financial technology startup. While he represents clients nationally, John maintains the firm’s Washington, D.C. presence.
John advises companies of all sizes on sound data privacy and security practices. He understands that technology is developing quickly and that legislators and regulators all over the world are acting to keep up with it. John’s goal is help his clients use technology to their advantage while avoiding the legal pitfalls.
John is an active member of the International Association for Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He maintains three certified privacy professional certifications: CIPP/G (government privacy), CIPP/US (U.S. private sector), and CIPP/E (Europe).
