Entertainment Lawyer Says ‘Yes, and” to Launching His Own Cinematic Career – Chicago Daily Law Bulletin Features Ryan Jacobson
Overview
The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin features an article on Ryan Jacobson, “Entertainment lawyer says ‘yes, and’ to launching his own cinematic career,” in their September 19 edition of the publication.
Ryan has practiced entertainment, media and technology law for over 16 years, with both parents in creative industries. Ryan thought that becoming involved in acting would be a good way to complement his career as an entertainment attorney and to acquire a very real experience of what his clients go through.
He said of his acting classes, “At some point, what’s the point of learning if you’re not going to put it into practice?...It’s like going to law school and not practicing law or taking the bar and then opening an ice cream shop.”
Ryan has performed in three sold-out shows at The Second City and was cast in two indie film projects. Ryan’s daughter also has picked up the acting bug and was an inspiration for him to get into acting himself.
