Overview
Eric is a litigator with business acumen. He strives for the best possible outcome in every case, whether that means zealously pursuing summary judgment, favorable settlement, or trial.
As a member of the firm's General Liability Service Group, he represents clients in civil defense cases, handling everything from construction claims to civil rights law. He also has experience representing health care professionals in contract negotiations and related business matters. Eric understands his clients’ needs and anticipates deadlines in order to make their jobs easier.
Every detail counts when building a defense strategy. Eric evaluates each case and improves techniques and litigation strategies along the way. Whether refining deposition questions to maneuver a case for summary judgment, crafting a closing argument, or arguing for specific final jury instructions, each step is crucial for obtaining a favorable outcome.
Prior to joining Amundsen Davis, Eric served as a Deputy Attorney General in Indiana. In this role he managed more than 60 active civil rights, tort and subrogation cases as lead counsel, and he obtained significant and meaningful federal jury trial experience as lead counsel. Prior to that, he was a civil defense litigator in Chicago.
Outside the office Eric enjoys travel and landscape photography. He never takes a trip without his camera.
