Overview

Keith maintains a broad commercial practice encompassing both transactions and litigation in the areas of finance, real estate, and business law. He represents businesses, financial institutions, and individuals in a wide array of complex matters. Clients trust Keith to be tenacious, attentive to detail, and practical.

Keith’s work in commercial lending includes structuring, documenting and closing loan transactions for C&I and commercial real estate financings. He also represents lenders in workouts and restructurings of problem credits. Keith acts as counsel in multi-state real estate financings, including the preparation of supporting opinions of counsel. His experience includes documenting and closing specialized loans involving aircraft, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and low income housing tax credits (LIHTC).

Keith handles a variety of issues relating to commercial real estate for investors and lenders, including acquisitions and dispositions, matters related to title insurance, surveys, environmental issues, and lease agreements. He has resolved title and survey issues in over 25 different states. Keith also has experience representing HOAs in a variety of contexts, and represents individuals and families in high-end residential real estate transactions and disputes. Keith also represents clients in matters related to eminent domain and property tax issues.

As a seasoned litigator with first-chair jury trial and arbitration experience, Keith has represented a wide range of clients in disputes involving commercial matters, receiverships, financing agreements, real estate, contractual issues, construction, insurance coverage, and a variety of tort claims. Keith has brought scores of disputes to successful resolution, and his appellate work is reflected in significant published decisions in the Supreme Court of Indiana and Indiana Court of Appeals. Keith has acted as receiver's counsel in complex national real estate receiverships.
