Our attorneys have decades of experience advising municipalities in matters relating to governance and operations, drafting intergovernmental agreements, resolutions, regulations, policies and ordinances. We regularly negotiate government contracts with major corporations and energy suppliers. We are experienced in issues relating to civil rights defense, contract disputes, workers compensation and premises liability. 

Labor and Personnel

Our attorneys regularly advise clients on personnel matters including all aspects of the employment process from hiring through terminations and grievance hearings. We have broad experience representing municipal and public sector employers in labor issues ranging from contract negotiations, ULP defense and grievance hearings through arbitrations and organization campaigns. We have successfully negotiated police, fire, public works and administrative employee collective bargaining agreements. 

Land Development

We advise governments on land use and economic development and incentive agreements as well as the use of other tools, such as Tax Increment Financing, property tax abatements and sales tax rebate agreements. We prepare and negotiate zoning and subdivision ordinances, annexation agreements and comprehensive plans.  

public finance

We represent government issuers and 63-20 entities in the issues of general obligation bonds and revenue bonds as bond counsel and disclosure counsel. We also represent underwriters in municipal bond transactions.  

Election Law

Our attorneys provide and counsel on all aspects of election law including issues related to campaign finance, ethics law and referenda.
